Disposable Presence/Absence test for coliforms (50/pk). Presence Absence tests require less training, equipment, and expense than quantitative tests like Most Probable Number or Membrane Filtration. Presence/Absence (P/A) media is used for simple, cost-effective screening to detect if target microorganisms (like coliforms in water) are present or absent in a sample. Contains MUG (4-methylumbelliferyl-β- D-glucuronide) for quick fluorescence confirmation of E. coli with a UV lamp (such as 2415200). Also available in packs of 12 bottles (2401612) or 25 ampules (2495525).
